Our Veterinary Team
Dr. Paul Boehm – Veterinarian
Dr. Paul Boehm was born in Germany but raised on a dude ranch nestled in the Rocky Mountains south of Estes Park, CO. He learned to love mountain climbing, raising, training, and caring for horses (including Arabians and Lipizzaners from Austria) on the dude ranch, which led him to apply to and eventually graduate from Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1972. After practicing for two years in Phoenix, AZ, he returned to Colorado and has practiced in Littleton since 1974. He owned Highland Animal Hospital from 1987 to 2023. He continues to have a passion for improving the lives of both patients and their caregivers. He takes his greatest pleasure in interacting with pets and people, spending time with his grandchildren (7), serving at his church, leading Bible studies, and doing occasional handyman projects around the house. He and his fantastic and loving wife raised two now-grown children and still share their home with two devoted labradors.
